Welcome to One for Sorrow—a tale of mystery, romance, and intrigue!
Step into the shoes of a customisable female investigator as she arrives in the town of Featherfall, a place shrouded not just into a perpetual fog, but also countless secrets and legends. After the sudden and mysterious death of her uncle—a renowned archaeologist—our protagonist is drawn into a web of intrigue that will challenge her wits, test her resolve, and perhaps even make her fall in love.
In this fantasy horror romance, you’ll explore the coastal town of Featherfall by day and unravel its dark underbelly by night. With a deduction system using tokens for different abilities like 'Research' and 'Questioning' for example, you’ll piece together clues, solve seven cases, and uncover the truth behind your uncle’s untimely demise. But beware: the town’s secrets are as dangerous as they are alluring.
Our One for Sorrow Preview is now live!
This first milestone is a glimpse into the world we’ve been crafting with passion and care. It introduces two of the four love interests, delves into the MC’s background, and offers a taste of Featherfall’s atmosphere. While most game mechanics are still in their early stages, this preview showcases our artistic vision, UI design, and the ambition driving this project. It’s not quite a demo yet—that’s coming in Fall 2025—but it’s a proud first step on this journey, polished with the help of our dedicated Alpha testers.

This looks amazing. I'm excited to give it a shot! I can't recall why I've followed you all on this platform, but I'm very glad that I did. :)
Edit: Also, for some reason, the Mac and Windows symbols are flipped in the download section. (The Windows version has an apple and the Mac version has the little window icon.)

This little demo was awesome. I love the artwork and the air of mystery. I am already in love with Elyes. Gorgeous artwork. Oh I said that already. Well, it bears repeating. I like this art direction for Theodore more than the earlier version I found when I went looking for more information.
Excited to see how some of the other systems work when we get to the full demo this fall.
Oh hey, though. I went back to play again and I think Elyes' scar is moving back and forth on his face? In the CGs and his icon, it's on the left side of his face, but it's on the right in his sprite.
Oh yeah, his real scars on the right side of his face just like in the CGs. Unfortunately he needs to be flipped if he appear in dialogue left or right since his hair and face is asymmetrical. 😂😂😂
